You Sold What??

Good morning! It has been a while since I did a post on things I have sold! Thought I would do a little update for everyone! If you ever think to yourself, "I could use some extra $, or I wish I could be debt free" Look no further then your own home! Do you really need all the stuff you own? Ask yourself "Why am I keeping this"? Odds are you like many others, have tons of things you have no idea why you are keeping? Why not sell them? That is what I have been doing, I really want to have a minimalist home and only keep the things we LOVE, USE, and NEED!

Yes you are reading this correctly! I sold 6 One Step Toilet Bowl Cleaner Refils for $71.98! Since we switched to natural cleaners I figured it was time to get rid of these! Best part, I purchased them with coupons for 4 Cents each! Such a big profit! Best part, I have about 12 More I can list on eBay!

I had purchased SIX very nice Pyrex Corning Pots for $25 off of Craigslist, and I just made almost all my money back on selling just one of those items! I have 5 other items listed on eBay, and will more then double my profit on this great find!

If you have been following the blog, you might have saw the post where I cleaned out my daughter's room! She had a big box full of toys she was not playing with! Most people will throw away, donate, give away or consign their children's used toys! Not me...I look them up on eBay and if they are going for more then I would get at a yard sale, I list them! Sold this used My Little Pony Set on eBay for $15.00

I am not sure about you, but I have an overwhelming amount of beauty products! Most of them do not get used! I got this Bath and Body Works spray as a gift ( I think from my mom) Sorry Mom, it was not getting used, and I am paying off debt! Now someone else can enjoy it, and I can use the money for lowering out debt! $35 for a spray that I am sure can be purchased for a lot less at the actual store!

Another toy my daughter was not playing with! I sold this on a local Facebook Auction Page, it sold for $15. The gal that bought it was having a 80's themed party and was going to use it as a prop at the party! Sounds good to me!

This just goes to show that things you might not think to sell will actually bring you a good chunk of money! If you are interested in seeing more items I have for sale you can visit my eBay store HERE

91 Day De-Clutter Challenge Week 3- Kids Room 2

I am so excited to say that I have completed Week 3 in the91 Day De-Clutter Challenge . This week was Kids Room 2, so I worked in my daughters room! She is 2 1/2 and I swear she owns a toys store! I had been putting off going through all her toys for several months now, but this challenge gave me the motivation to do it NOW!I filled a very big box with toys that she had no longer played with, or toys that were to "baby" for her! And yes if you are wondering what the red baby in the box above is...its a devil baby! And yes my daughter loved it and probably will keep it once I fix the arm! If you are following me on Instagram I will be posting photos of her with the doll on Halloween!

I did not have to do a whole lot around her bed, because that usually stays picked up. If you are wondering where her bedding is, right now she uses blankets! My mom is going to make her some super cute Chevron bedding to match the rest of her decor! Can't wait to share a post when its finished!

You might not notice a big difference in the closet either! The bottom half of the closet has my daughters current and next wardrobe as well as all my long sleeve shirts that wont fit in my closet! The top left of her closet is inventory I have on eBay, and the Top right is Next Summers wardrobe! I moved the blankets that were in the very top area of her closet and put those under her bed, and put her 4T (Next Year) Winter wardrobe in containers at the very top!

Now here is where you will see the most change! See the table, full of clothes...yeah that was mom (ME) being very lazy! I finally got them all put away, and now she can actually use that cute table her grandma bought her! If you take a look at her toy box, you can see how many toys were in the before photo...now you can actually see what she has to play with in the after photo!

The top part of this photo shows the inside of her toy box. There is a bucket inside that has a bunch of little toys that usually get shoved under the bigger toys. There is a container on top of the toy box that is now the home to all her Minnie Mouse dolls that have detachable clothing and bows!

Bottom left of the same photo is showing the buckets at the top of her closet, full of the clothing she does not fit into yet! I am so glad I do not have to jump or get a chair to reach her blankets now!

Bottom right of the same photo shows these fabric bins that are on her floor, two have books neatly stacked in them. And the other has her tea set!

My new goal is to get all this clutter out, and make it a habit for us to pick up every night before bed, so it will stay this clean and all I have to do is run though with a broom and mop!

91 Day DeClutter - Kids Room 1

This week for the 91 Day De-Clutter Challenge we are working in "Kids Room 1" I thought I would start with my son who is 7! He just started 2nd grade a month ago, so now is the perfect time to get his room a little more organized! Since he is not home all day, it is more likely to stay clean! He did help! The photo up above tells what all he got rid of. A box full of "wall tracks", stack of books, 3 bags of trash, a pair of shoes and a few other odds and ends that he did not want anymore!

His closet was not too bad when we first started. It just needed a little more organization and it was done! Took about 10 minutes including asking if he wanted a few things that were in the book shelf.

I had pulled all the bedding off and start them in the wash (before photo) he had a pile of clothes that needed put away. But the biggest difference in these photos is the stuff he had shoved in his space on the head board. Most of it was papers and things that ended up going in the trash.

This area is right where is door way is. I could not stand that it was all piling up and everything was just shoved in bins. We dumped the bins and figured out the things he no longer wanted, then we organized them with what was left over. Now it is neatly up against the wall, and he knows where everything is located!

Now this wall just makes me very annoyed! He had a wall tracks set that he no longer wanted. When we started removing the command strips on the back of the tracks it was lifting up the paint!!! I thought these things were supposed to come off "CLEAN"??? Anyone else ever have this happen? Now he needs his room painted again!

He has a ledge right under his window, it was plum full of lego stuff and just a bunch of stuff that did not really need to be up there. So he took the legos off and we cleaned the ledge and he only kept a few things to "display" like the trucks and his awards! I am still shocked at how much stuff he had in his room. I am happy that he made the choices on what to keep and what to toss! After we finished he just kept telling us how clean his room was and how nice it looked! Hopefully with a little less stuff it will be a little easier to keep clean!

91 Day De-Clutter Challenge - Room 1 THE KITCHEN

Hey everyone! As you know I am joining the 91 Day De-Clutter Challenge that Mary  from Mary Organizes  is hosting! You should click her name in this post and go see how beautiful her kitchen is! I absolutely LOVE the color and the white cabinets in her kitchen! As many of you may know if you follow my blog, our house is a "work in progress" so our kitchen is a bit outdated! Its okay though, I know it will be my dream kitchen soon!
My old kitchen decor used to be tea pots, I collected many of them and I really do not have the room to display them like I did when I lived alone! So for the past 3 1/2 years they have been collecting dust way at the very top of the cabinets. I really did not like the way it looked with them way up there, so during this challenge I took them down and have listed them for sale on Craigslist. When we redo the kitchen I might add something nice back at the top but for now I like the empty "simple" look it has!
I had this magnetic calendar hanging next to my oven, and I used to be on top of listing what we were having for dinner on it! Well it still had the month of APRIL on the top of it! I would have to say I am just a bit behind in that department! I took all the recipes off of it, and made it a "family" calendar. It now has bills due, when my son needs a lunch packed and the appointments and activities we have going on. I guess you could call it our "command center"!
So everyone has that "ONE" drawer that is plum full and never shuts all the way...Right??? Well we had a very over stuffed drawer that was full of junk, so I dumped it on the counter and sorted it all out! I was really shocked to find things that should have went in the trash still in the drawer! Then you can see on the left we have under the kitchen sink...it was just as bad as that drawer! It really looked like things were just tossed in and the door was shut! Again I emptied it out and tossed the trash, made hubby take his stuff to the garage and re-organized it! Now when I open it....I get a smile on my face knowing it is officially clean and tidy! Tune in next week to see what we did in my son's room for Room 2 of the Challenge!
