Tooth Fairy

So my son lost a tooth the other day! He always gets so excited when he gets a really loose tooth, do ya blame him?? He gets money for those things! A while back I told him I was going to pull out all my teeth so that I would be rich! He did not think that was a good idea, and I am glad I agreed with him! Could you imagine trying to eat with out teeth, or what my smile would look like? My son is 7 years old, so loosing teeth is kind of a big deal in his eyes! Normally the "tooth fairy" leaves a $1 in exchange for his tooth in our home, however the "tooth fairy" FORGOT to come!!! Yes I said it...she forgot our house..and did not take my son's tooth! Has this ever happened to you??? If so, you know how horrible I am feeling right now! I woke up to my son running up the stairs, and knew I had forgot something! How could I forget that?? I fell asleep and completely spaced sneaking into his room to get the tooth! He was almost in tears, telling me "Mom the tooth fairy did not come" :( I feel so bad! We made up a story, that she must have got stuck in a really bad storm and was not able to come. I might have to show him this photo of the Harley Davidson Store in our town, the wind was so bad that the front of the store was pulled off! 

The weather was crazy! The schools in our area cancled that day, and the news had reports of a blizzard! Of course we did not get anything...just really bad wind and very cold air!! Any who, back to that tooth that the "tooth fairy" forgot! In my efforts to make up for the $1.00 he missed out on I will now be leaving $3.00 and hope for the best! I am sure when he is older I will still hear "Do you remember when the "tooth fairy" forgot my tooth"? And I am sure he will let his little sister know all about it, and make her think that the "tooth fairy" is going to forget her too! But hopefully it will be this one time that it happens and he will forgive her for being "stuck in bad weather"!
